All the fun, challenging activities and timeless values kids learn by being a scout begin at “Sign Up for Scouting” night, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, August 28 at an elementary school or community center near you. Boy Scout and Girl Scout representatives will be available to answer questions and make enrolling quick and convenient. Gear Up to help out our High School Students Make a difference in a young person's life with Gear Up, a college awareness and readiness program. Gear Up is seeking tutors to work part-time with Clovis High School sophmores in math, science, and english. The position pays between $10 to $15 per hour. Strong math skills are preferred. Clovis Volleyball League Registration is now being held for the Clovis Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League. The season starts September 15th with games played Monday nights at the Roy Walker Gym. The entry fee cost is $20 per player or $125 per team. For more information, call Tisha at 769-2181.

The Clovis Music Festival will be September 4th throught the 6th with concert events at Marshall Auditorium. One-day tickets are $20 apiece, and 3-day tickets are $50.
